Good but…

"I tried to like this paddle but after using it for around 15 hours it still had dead spots along the edges of the paddle. I tried different weight setups and modifications but nothing made it easier to control. Nothing beats good ol’ gen 3 sweet spot on control along with the put away power. My favorite paddle is the Engage alpha 16mm which was discontinued but it is the best paddle they have made for control and sweet spot size once broken in. It does take a couple weeks to break in."

"I like it. But I would say I'm still getting used to it and the performance the paddle gives me. Definitely performs differently than traditional honeycomb paddles. Feel like I get hard deep hits without as much effort. Surface feels good and gives me good spins. Overall, feels good in my hand and is a good upgrade for me."

"The Engage 2 elongated pickleball paddle is the third Engage paddle I have owned. This one didn’t disappoint me. The sweet spot feels huge, and has amazing touch at the kitchen also seems like I have more control of my serves. I would definitely recommend this paddle to my friends and fellow picklers!"

Engage X2 Elongated

"Love Engage and was hoping this paddle would be what took the Alpha Pro into the foam age. It comes up short in two categories, spin and power. It has a solid feel and good sweet spot but I have to swing harder to get the ball moving. Again I’m comparing with the Alpha pro. I’m not putting away serves as well, flicks and roll volleys don’t have as much snap to them. If you are a powerful over hitter/swinger this will be a great paddle for you. The feel is great. Ok now for the surface. It doesn’t feel as gritty as the Alpha pro and spin seem to be down. Control yes, power and spin not so much. Two other Engage users at my club also received theirs and came to the same conclusions as I have. I will be waiting for version 2 that has more power(not looking for a power paddle) and a modern grit surface that will last as long as the foam core."
