Reviews

Fantastic paddle (after weighting)

"I’ve played with dozens of flagship paddles and this is by far my favorite… I freaking love this thing. It’s got legit power and pop but it’s not too too crazy. Spin is ridiculous. Very crisp connected feel. HOWEVER you MUST put weight on your end cap as this paddle comes very head heavy stock. An easy and inexpensive modification (PB cap coin on amazon). I use 9g. We’ll see how the grit holds up but I think Engage struck gold here and surprised more people aren’t talking about it."

Love the Engage Axiom Elongated- 14mm

"I love how lightweight this paddle feels while still delivering just the right amount of power. It’s great for quick volleys and resets, and the grit is excellent! My backhand roll and topspin drive have both improved, and the power is spot on. A great combination of control, speed, and power. Love this paddle!"

Behind the times

"For me, this may have been a good paddle 2-3years ago; the feel is way too rigid(stiff). It is hard to generate baseline power on drives, serves and even return of serve. The sweetspot is small and hard to find; and, when you do , it shoots off significantly faster. You have to use much bigger strokes to get the ball to where you need it to be for drops and resets. When playing against other players that have lots of power, spin and pop; this paddle simply does not measure up; even if it lasts longer without core crushing or delaminating. It may loosen up overtime and with enough weight I think I might be able to make it work in my game; but there are just way too many better options on the market now to have to go through all the trouble."

This paddle has power and grit!

"On my first day playing with this paddle, I hit my serves beyond the end of the court 5 of my 7 serves! I definitely have to throttle down to keep my serves in! i have shown many people I play with the surface of the paddle, and all were amazed, with one person one asking if it was legal to have that much grit!"

New Axiom

"Even though there was an initial shipping delay and then I got sent the wrong paddles, once I received the correct paddles I have been blown away. I have only ever played Engage paddles throughout my pickleball journey and have airway been impressed with the paddles I have played, this one takes the cake. This paddles gives me exactly what I'm looking for in all areas of my game. Improved results in the service game, resets and drops are so easy, attacks and drives are fast, heavy and spinning like crazy. Love the Axiom, best Engage paddle yet!"

Axiom elongated 16mm

"The Axiom paddle has a very rough surface creating lots of spin It has a bigger sweat spot than the X2 paddle . It has similar power to the Alpha Pro 14mm . They say it will take a week or two for the paddle to break in. I will update post once this has happened Great paddle so far !!"

— Dave B. (5/5)

Love this paddle so much!!

"I retired my X2 to use the new Axion and I love it!! I had no complaints with my X2 but when I read up on the new Axiom it intrigued me. I’m so glad I took a chance and bought it. The Axion is perfect in every way. It has a lot more pop and controm than my X2."

— Sandra S. (5/5)

Alpha Pro PLUS!

"We’ve been using the Alpha Pro for over a year and finally got down to our last two paddles. We decided to try the Axiom and wow, what a great upgrade. The Axiom is slightly heavier in the head so 2-4 grams added at the 4 and 8 positions makes it perfect. Bottom line…more power and control and a much more confident swing."

— Kevin P. (5/5)

GREAT Paddle!

"The Axiom is a perfect blend of power from the baseline and control at the kitchen. The power comes easily so you don't have to over-swing to get a great passing shot. The durable-grit surface holds up nicely and readily imparts the desired ball spin to more easily keep the ball in play. Dink shots and resets are easier to execute because of the larger sweet spot compared to the X2 paddle. As my new favorite paddle, I love the Axiom paddle just as much, but probably a little more than my Boomstick paddle! Like I said, it's a GREAT paddle!! I'd recommend this paddle for those who like power, and don't want to sacrifice control particularly at the kitchen."
