"Love Engage and was hoping this paddle would be what took the Alpha Pro into the foam age. It comes up short in two categories, spin and power. It has a solid feel and good sweet spot but I have to swing harder to get the ball moving. Again I’m comparing with the Alpha pro. I’m not putting away serves as well, flicks and roll volleys don’t have as much snap to them. If you are a powerful over hitter/swinger this will be a great paddle for you. The feel is great. Ok now for the surface. It doesn’t feel as gritty as the Alpha pro and spin seem to be down. Control yes, power and spin not so much. Two other Engage users at my club also received theirs and came to the same conclusions as I have. I will be waiting for version 2 that has more power(not looking for a power paddle) and a modern grit surface that will last as long as the foam core."

"To put this in perspective, I'm playing with 3 other paddles: Engage Profoam Elongated 14mm, Engage Pursuit Alpha Elongated 14mm, and Gearbox Pro Ultimate Elongated. You can detect the difference in spin, power, and control. Can drive the ball with less effort, and easy to lightly dink in the kitchen. No problems with mis hit vibrations irritating a sore elbow. Can't wait to use it in competition"
"New paddle, new tech, great feel. It plays different than the Alpha Pro. It handles power as well. I feel the top side of the paddle helps with top spin and speed from the chest. The bottom mid feels is hard to start and has started to break in. Love this paddle at the baseline and counters at the kitchen. I never expected for it to be so different to my Alpha Pro and yet feel so good."
