I added a little lead to it but the balance is amazing. First day out with it I played better than ever. Power is ample and very linear to assist with controlling the ball."

This paddle is quieter than the pursuit pro1. Power and spin are amazing -the ball comes off the paddle quickly. I love the feel -I can combine spin with power or spin on dinks. This is the best engage paddle I’ve tried. I love my pursuit pro1 but have moved to the innovation for most of my play. Others have tried it and are anxious to purchase when available. I would absolutely buy this paddle again and highly recommend it."

Anthony, Lamoine, ME (3/26/2025 0:58:43): "I love the new Pursuit Pro1 Innovation. This shape is almost identical to the original Maverick, and Pursuit MX paddles that I've grown to love. I have been using the original Pursuit Pro1 instead of the Pursuit Pro MX as I preferred the feel and power of this new core. But the shape just wasn't my favorite. Now we have the Innovation and I couldn't be happier! The handle circumference on the 15.2mm Innovation is now smaller which is a major plus! Not sure how you pulled that off but it feels so much better than the massive MX! I've only played 4.5 - 5.5 rec twice since receiving it but so far this is exactly what I've been waiting for. Still has great spin and amazing power when I need it, while keeping the great feel that Engage paddles are famous for. I also love that I don't have to worry about delamination or core crushing like everyone else out there right now. Thank you Engage for continuing to make the best Legal paddles on the market."

Matt Guyan, Ottawa, Ontario (3/25/2025 19:21:58): "Paddle feels great in the hands, mine came in at 8.1 I added some weight to bring it up to 8.7 (my preferred weight) the most notable improvement from my current main paddle (pro 1) is the spin, the spin on this paddle is absolutely ridiculous. The soft touches and resets are a dream. However….. I did feel like the power and pop just isn’t there compared to my pro 1. I have used the innovation now for about 35-40 hours and will continue to use it outside of tournament play until I develop a better understanding of the paddle. Overall I give this paddle a solid 8.5/10. Well done Engage."
