The NEW Coach Mo 'Signature' paddle by EngagePickleball

March 25, 2017

EngagePickleball would like to introduce the new Coach Mo ‘Signature’ paddle. Coach Mo is one of the most recognized names and instructors in the game. To make his Signature paddle, the paddle of choice for Coach Mo today, is a proud moment for EngagePickleball.

The Coach Mo ‘Signature’ paddle is based on the very popular Engage Guardian II paddle. The paddle not only hits the limits on the size requirements set by the USAPA, but the roughness (spin ability) also. At 8 1/2” wide by 15 1/2” long, it’s the widest paddle on the market where the length of the paddle itself, along with the grip (5” long) are industry standards. What that means is you have largest surface area of any paddle on the market with a standard grip length.

The ‘Signature’ Coach Mo Guardian II ‘Widebody’ was designed from the ground up to create a paddle that harnesses the power natively found in Polymer cores and combine it with the ultimate in control and ball forgiveness. This was achieved by designing a new ‘core’ and proprietary ‘chemically bonded’ skin. The control will be in your hands to place the ball where you want. With the oversized head, you’ll be able to block those hard hits that are meant to intimidate you, and better yet, place them where your opponents are not. Impart spin when and where needed. Have plenty of power to put the ball away. Meets USAPA Pickleball Paddle Standards and is approved for Pickleball Tournament play.

What is the difference between the Signature Coach Mo Guardian II and the standard Guardian II? The paddle provides a more solid feel at contact which enhances control, ball placement and forgiveness. The paddle also has a larger sweet spot and is slightly heavier (which some players prefer… including Coach Mo of course). Coach Mo always recommends the heaviest paddle you can play with that you can still control. He was amazed at the ability to produce a paddle at only 8.0 oz range that could play this way. Now you have all the benefits of a heavy paddle, but the ability to be quick at the net.
